COVID-19 Update - effective as of 2 May 2022
We are pleased to share with you all that as from Monday, May 2nd, a number of international entry and domestic restrictions have been eased!
What has changed?
1) Effective May 2nd, students traveling to Malta no longer need to fill out a Passenger Locator Form (PLF).
2) Travellers from countries classified as Red Zones are permitted to enter Malta provided they possess an approved vaccine certificate OR recovery certificate OR a negative result from a PCR test taken no more than 72 hours prior to arrival.
3) Studying at ESE will follow the same new regulations as entering the country, therefore students need to be in possession of EITHER an approved vaccine certificate OR a recovery certificate OR a negative result from a PCR test taken no more than 72 hours prior to arrival.
4) Persons living in the same household as an individual who has tested positive no longer need to quarantine; a requirement to self-isolate for up to 10 days will ONLY apply to the person who actually tested positive.
5) In addition, the use of facemasks are no longer required in most public spaces (except hospitals and flights) however students studying at ESE will still be asked to wear a facemask inside the school premises.
