Adults Leader, Part-Time (NEW)

About the role:

ESE – European School of English is looking for a dynamic, part-time Adults Group Leader to support and accompany our adult international students during their leisure activities outside the classroom. You will be the friendly face that ensures students feel welcome, engaged and well-supported throughout their stay.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accompany adult students during leisure activities following the weekly programme published by the Leisure Team
  • Act as the main point of contact for students during outings and events (Welcome Parties, Dance Classes, Football, Paintball, Malta Tours, Bowling, Cinema, Diving, Padel, and more)
  • Encourage students to sign up for activities and make the most of their time in Malta
  • Promote the weekly activity programme to students during class breaks
  • Liaise effectively with visiting group leaders, agents and internal ESE teams
  • Ensure activities run smoothly from start to finish
  • Occasionally assist the marketing team with social media content creation

Residence Leaders & Group Leaders - Part Time (NEW)

About the role:

If you are passionate about working with people, have bags of energy and thrive in a multicultural environment, we want to hear from you. ESE is urgently recruiting a Teens Activity Group Leaders , Junior Camp Residence Group Leaders and Young Adults Group Leader to accompany and supervise students during their leisure and activity programme. You will be working alongside an international team of group leaders and playing a key role in ensuring our teen students have a safe, enriching and unforgettable experience in Malta, working alongside our youngest international students at our ESE’s English School, based at the beautiful Salini Resort in Malta or at our location in Paceville, if required.

You will be part of a close-knit team responsible for the welfare, supervision and day-to-day happiness of our students and joining them in their evening activities.

This role carries significant responsibility and is suited to someone mature, caring and highly dependable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accompany the students during all leisure activities, excursions and outings around Malta
  • Supervise and engage students to ensure their safety and well-being at all times
  • Actively interact with students — during breaks, transitions and downtime
  • Promote and participate in the ESE leisure activity programme
  • Work collaboratively with visiting international group leaders
  • Assist with student arrivals and departures at the residence when required
  • Maintain a safe, structured and nurturing environment at all times
  • Work closely with visiting international group leaders
  • Handle welfare-related matters promptly and professionally

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience working with teenagers (school, camps, sports, youth groups, etc.)
  • Patient, responsible and naturally engaging with young people
  • Strong sense of duty and ability to manage group dynamics
  • Good spoken English; additional languages are a bonus
  • Able to commit to a minimum of 5 weeks (longer preferred)
  • Minimum age: 18 years old

Full Time Receptionist (NEW)

An immediate vacancy exists for a Full Time Receptionist at The European School of English.

As part of the reception team you will be expected to greet our students and visitors and assist them in their general needs. 

Main Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  •  Acting as a first point of call for all students.
  • Welcoming new arrivals.
  • Checking-out departing students and ensuring they are collected if using ESE airport transfers.
  • Coordinating with other members of staff regarding transport and leisure issues.
  • Ensuring only ESE students gain entry to the ESE residence.
  • Communicating with Host Families and Suppliers.
  • Dealing with issues as they arise and informing the appropriate departments via phone or e-mail.

Applicants should be:

  • Fluent in English
  • Have previous experience in a similar position
  • Willing to work 12 hour shifts on Day In/Day Out basis, including weekends and Public Holidays

Maintenance Personnel

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Personnel to oversee the upkeep and repair of our facilities.
Responsibilities include performing routine maintenance tasks, addressing equipment breakdowns, handling minor plumbing and electrical issues, and ensuring a safe, clean, and well-functioning environment.
The ideal candidate will have basic knowledge of building systems, good problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.  Communication in English and Maltese is important.

EFL Teachers

ESE is looking to recruit EFL teachers to form part of our team to deliver face to face and/or online quality lessons to international students.

Essential Requirements:

  • Minimum Academic Certification – TEFL + TELT / English A’ level
  • Be in possession of a valid EFL teaching permit issued by the Malta ELT Council
  • Be over 18 years of age and be computer literate

Welfare Officer/Driver

ESE is seeking to recruit a Welfare Officer/Driver who will be responsible for promoting and ensuring the well-being, safety, and overall positive experience of our students. This role involves providing support, guidance, and resources to help students improve their study travel experience whilst in Malta.
The Welfare Officer/Driver works closely with the ESE team to create a supportive and inclusive environment for all students.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
To ensure the smooth running of residences, including the safety and well-being of students.

To provide customer support and oversee the daily operations of student residences, ensuring a safe, clean, and supportive living environment.

Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise within the residences.

Carry out regular spot checks at residences owned and/or operated by ESE.

Be the main contact person for students by answering to any queries in person, by email and/or phone.
Liaise with ESE staff for any welfare, accommodation or other issues that may arise.
Ensure ESE property is being taken care of.
 
REQUIREMENTS:
Candidate needs to be fluent in English and over 25 years of age.
Candidate must be in possession of a Cat B. Maltese Manual driver’s license.

  • Clean areas and rooms assigned on daily shift.
  • Deal with all general enquiries directed to the Housekeeping Department and to maintain an adequate record of such enquiries.
  • Make a consciencientious effort to be a team player and to present a professional appearance at all times;
  • Maintain clear and adequate records of work done and to produce reports on work programmes and activities as required by Management.
  • Perform cleaning tasks as and when required at the hotel and schools of the company as may be directed by management from time to time.
  • Follow instructions as relayed by management or superiors and also communicate any difficulties.
