1. Festi in Malta – every weekend

Where: Across localities in Malta

Each town or village has its own feast dedicated to its patron saint, and these feasts often take place between May and September.

 

The main events of each ‘festa’ include religious processions, band marches, firework displays, community gatherings as well as stalls selling traditional and fast food.

Our favourite is the St. Julian’s ‘festa’ which will be held on the 31tst of August this year.

2. Earth Garden 2025 - Malta’s Alternative Festival Gem – 5th - 8th June 2025

Where: Ta’ Qali National Park

Held every June in Ta’ Qali National Park, Earth Garden is Malta’s top alternative music festival. With five eclectic stages, a mix of live bands and electronic acts, beach parties, boat cruises, and wellness workshops, it offers four days of pure festival magic.

Where: Across Malta

The biggest event in Malta’s cultural calendar is the Malta International Arts Festival, which runs for 10 days in June. Its diverse arts programme aims to embrace music, visual arts, theatre, dance, opera, art installations films, and other related events which contribute towards Malta’s long cultural heritage.

6. Malta International Food Festival 2025 – A Culinary Celebration at The Granaries, 6th - 10th of August 2025

Where: The Granaries, Floriana.

Get ready for five unforgettable nights of the Malta’s biggest food event with flavour, music, and culture at Floriana’s iconic Granaries. The Malta Food Festival brings together the best of local and international cuisine, premium wines, live entertainment, and family-friendly fun. With food stalls, kids’ activities, and top performers, it’s Malta’s ultimate summer food experience.
Happening daily from 6PM to midnight. Don’t miss it!

7. Isle of MTV Malta 2025 – One of the Best Free Events in Malta for Students

The seventeenth edition of the exciting Isle of MTV festival returns on the 15th of July! ALOK and DAMIANO DAVID will headline the 2025 edition of the event.

Get ready for one of Malta’s most exciting music events of the year! 
Isle of MTV Malta 2025 is back and bigger than ever, with an electrifying lineup that includes two massive headline acts:

  •  Damiano David, the iconic frontman of Italian rock band Måneskin

  •  Alok, Brazilian superstar DJ and global EDM sensation

This free open-air concert will take place on 15th July 2025 at the Granaries in Floriana, and as always, it’s expected to attract thousands of music fans from Malta and beyond.

8. Farsons Beer Festival – 25th July to 3rd August 2025

Where: Ta’ Qali National Park

The Farsons Beer Festival is one of the most exciting summer events, drawing thousands of festivalgoers every night. Now in its 43rd edition, this free outdoor festival combines local live music, entertainment for both adults and children, and food stalls from various cuisines at Ta’ Qali National Park’s picnic area.

9. Delicata Classic Wine Festival 8th - 9th August 2025. Valletta & Gozo

Where:  Valletta & Nadur, Gozo

The annual Delicata Classic Wine Festival is Malta’s grandest celebration of its local wine. As usual, it will take place at the scenic Upper Barrakka Gardens in the capital city, Valletta over three days in August as well as in Nadur, Gozo later in the month. Festivities throughout the evening include live music, food, and of course, wine.

 

Entrance is free. Wine coins can be purchased at the event itself.

10. Festa Frawli 2025 – A Sweet Celebration of Strawberries in Mġarr!

Get ready for one of Malta’s most beloved springtime festivals! Taking place on Sunday, 27th April 2025, the Festa Frawli brings the charming village of Mġarr to life with all things strawberry.
