COVID-19 Travel Update – for fully vaccinated Kazakh and Non-EU travellers

COVID-19 Travel Update


We would like to use this opportunity to inform you that Kazakh citizens, who are fully vaccinated with EU approved vaccines as listed below, are now permitted to travel to Malta, given that they provide the vaccination certificate.


Please note that 14 days must have passed since the date of the second shot (single shot for Janssen/Johnson & Johnson vaccine) prior to the travel date.


Alternatively Kazakh citizens also can spend 2 weeks prior to their arrival in Malta in a Safe Corridor Country included in Malta’s Amber List (please follow the link for a list of Amber Countries: https://foreignandeu.gov.mt/en/Government/Pages/COVID-19-Info.aspx)

  • Comirnaty (BionTech-Pfizer)
  • Janssen (Johnson & Johnson)
  • Spikevax (Moderna)
  • Vaxzevria (AstraZeneca)

As per the Deputy Prime Minister’s webpage, citizens from countries which are not yet on the Amber list, can now travel to Malta, under the condition that they present the certificate of an EU approved vaccine. Persons who are in possession of a vaccination certificate which is recognised and approved by the Superintendent of Public Health may also travel to and from Malta from any country listed below:
