Graded Examination in Spoken English (GESE) is intended for students who have studied English as a foreign, second or another language. There are 12 GESE grades in all and these are divided into four development stages: Initial, Elementary, Intermediate and Advanced. As students move up grades, the interview tasks require use of more difficult language.
Our teachers will prepare you for the exam by using engaging lessons to help you build confidence and develop your communicative skills.
The exam is in the form of a one-to-one face-to-face interview with the examiner. The tasks given in the exam depend on the stage.

Integrated Skills in English (ISE) is an exam designed for young school, college or university students and adults who are in-service and require an English language qualification. It is available at 5 levels of the Common European Framework of Reference A2 – C2.
The exam comprises two papers and assesses your ability to interact in English through a series of integrated reading, writing, speaking and listening tasks. In order to obtain ISE certification, you need to pass both exam modules: Reading and Writing and Speaking and Listening. Moreover, preparing for lSE builds your real life transferable skills which are suitable for study or career development.

Before arrival you must do the ESE online placement test, which must be submitted at least 7 days before you start your course. If you do not manage to do your test from home, then you will be will asked to sit for a short placement test on your first day at school.
