Lessons

Classrooms at the Salini Resort are new, bright, air conditioned and outfitted with Smart Boards making for a convenient, comfortable and engaging learning environment.  No time is wasted or lost in travelling to schools away from the hotel giving students more time to relax and enjoy themselves.

Students in the Junior Club programme are tested to assess their English level and placed in classes accordingly.  Students participate in engaging lessons, develop their fluency in English and work on all the four core skills – speaking, listening, reading and writing with an aim to improve their language awareness and broaden their vocabulary.

All classroom activities revolve around topics which are interesting and appropriate for this age group.  Activities can include problem-solving, role plays, questionnaires, sharing experiences and reading and listening amongst others.

Activities

An exciting and fun activity programme is key to having a memorable study holiday and at ESE we have designed our Junior Camp programme to make sure that students enjoy all their activities.  Activities are also a great way to make friends with other nationalities and practise English, given this is the common language.

Activities are organised every day (morning and/or afternoon) and evening Monday to Friday with a full day activity on Saturday.  Sunday is a day of rest and free time and students are usually happy to lounge by the spectacular pool and just chill.  However for those students with lots of energy and enthusiasm to experience more of Malta  optional activities are always on offer such as  a full day Gozo tour, a visit to the Splash and Fun park, a day trip to Comino or a swim at one of Malta’s beautiful sandy beaches.

Before arrival you can do the ESE online placement test, which must be submitted at least 7 days before you start your course.

Alternatively, our academic staff will ask you to sit for a short placement test on your first day at school.
