Meeting with students of different nationalities at the school was a dream come true for this enthusiastic group whilst they were at the European School of English. The Japanese group consisted of musicians, models, kimono dealers, designers etc. and their aim is to simply share this experience by showing their own culture which they love deeply.

Hamrun’s connection with chocolate goes back to the era of the Knights of St. John , when cocoa beans were stored in Hamrun’s ‘tas samra’ area.
Located between Africa and Europe in the middle of the Mediterranean, the Maltese Islands have been coveted by all the major civilisations throughout history. The Greeks, Phoenicians, Arabs, Normans, the Spanish, the Knights of St John, the French and finally the British have all colonised these islands at some point or another.
The exact date of Chinese New Year is determined by the lunar calendar and so falls on a different date each year. This being said, it is usually between 31st January and 20th March. Friday 16th February is the start of the Chinese New Year 2018.
Often referred to as Spring Festival, it is celebrated with lots of fireworks and firecrackers along with colourful parades and decorations both indoors and outside. Chinese lanterns line the streets over head, with brightly coloured Chinese dragons dancing through the streets.
