Fairyland - Santa's City

This year, you will be able to feel the magic of Christmas in the capital city! Fairyland – Santa’s City is back with a bang after 2 years, where the Triton Fountain Square will once again be transformed into a winter wonderland from the 3rd of December 2021 to the 2nd of January 2022.
The Malta Tourism Authority describes this as “another step forward in our path towards the normality, we strongly missed due to the pandemic”, and its main objective of the event is “nurturing the positive atmosphere that the festive season is well renowned for in the Maltese Islands,” in a recent statement.
The capital will be greatly illuminated and highly decorated for the festive season. Expect to see a larger-than-life Ferris wheel, an ice-skating rink, German-style markets selling delicious food and beverages, not to mention mulled wine, and many more surprises.

*If you don’t know who Elf on the Shelf is, he is a character based on the children’s picture book titled The Elf on the Shelf published in 2005. This little fellow explains how Santa Claus knows if you’re naughty or nice, and comes in a keepsake box. He also describes how elves visit children from the American holiday of Thanksgiving to Christmas Eve and encourage them to behave, so that they can tell Santa in preparation for Christmas Eve. The main objective is that children must not touch the elf or its magic will disappear…
