Malta Jazz Festival – 20th – 22nd July 2017

Malta Jazz Festival – 20th – 22nd July 2017

Malta’s International Jazz Festival is one of Malta’s longest-running festivals and takes place in July of every year.

Attracting some of the best local and international artists, this highly-acclaimed music event stretches over 3 days, starting on the 20th July and ending on the 22nd July. Celebrating all things Jazz, this event promises an exciting mixture of performances, concerts and events showcasing an eclectic mix of Jazz styles and sounds from the current musical scene.

The festival also offers a diverse programme of free activities and events for Jazz lovers to get involved in, including open-air concerts, master classes, intimate jazz performances and Jazz contests.

Held in Malta’s historical capital city, Valletta provides the perfect backdrop to the many incredible performances performed by some of Jazz’s greatest musical masters.

Greats such as John Scofield, Al Di Meola, Chick Corea, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Cubanismo, Petrucciani, Betty Carter, Joe Zawinul have all performed here, entertaining the large crowds under Malta’s summer night skies.

Over looking Valletta’s stunning Grand Harbour, the Mike Stern commented ‘I have never played in a postcard before’!
