New to ESE for 2017: IELTS 4 week exam preparation course
IELTS exam preparation courses at ESE
New for 2017, ESE is now offering IELTS 4 week exam preparation courses, reduced from 6 weeks, for those students having the required level of English on admission, and who wish to prepare for the IELTS exam within a shorter time frame.
A minimum of B2 level of English is required on entry to the 4 week course. Your level will be tested by our Academic staff before you are accepted onto the course.
The IELTS (International English Language Testing System) is an internationally-recognised English certificate and is growing in popularity with students worldwide due to many countries and academic institutions requiring this certificate as proof of level of English proficiency. The IELTS certificate is often required for admission onto undergraduate or postgraduate university courses where English is the language of instruction. The certificate is also sometimes required as proof of level of English proficiency for career and/or migration purposes.
What does the IELTS exam preparation course include?
The exam course offers 22.5 hours of lessons a week where all four skills (reading, writing, listening and speaking) are given equal practice and importance. Grammatical structures and topic based vocabulary are revised and expanded. The course also focuses on exam technique necessary to better the grade. This specialised preparation also includes guidance to become more independent learners, offers opportunity to practice presentation skills and monthly tutorials with experienced teachers.
Academic or General Training IELTS exam. Which should I choose?
The exam is available as an Academic or General training option.
If you are planning to enroll onto a university course, the Academic Training Option is required.
The General Training option may be required for vocational or non-academic training and for immigration purposes.
