ESE’s Special Programmes

ESE regularly receives requests to hold special courses for primary, secondary or high school students. One such English language programme which ESE runs from time to time is the PON programme. PON English language courses for students in their third, fourth and fifth years of secondary school are funded by the European Strategic Fund and authorised by the Italian government. Students travel in groups of between 8 to 15 students, are accompanied by their teacher and follow a three or four-week English language course at ESE. The courses are usually held between November and April. The majority of the PON language groups that booked with ESE have opted to follow a Trinity GESE or ISE exam preparation course and sat for the appropriate exam for their level, at the end of their course, in Malta. On successful completion of their course and exam, students are awarded a recognised certificate. The Trinity GESE and ISE are valid exams for PON funded schemes. The external Trinity GESE amd ISE exams are offered by ESE, the accredited test centre in Malta.
